ECON 1600
Comparative Economic Systems examines a representative sample of the world’s major economic systems, including the Traditional, Market, and Commandeconomies. Our study explores in more depth the emergence, since the collapse of the former USSR, of new functioning hybrids such as Market Socialism, and the New Traditional economies represented in various Islamic States. Strong emphasis is placed on the interaction of government policy, history, culture, and adaptation of economic theory. Our study is in the context, affect, and major impact of the rapidly emerging and newly defined global economy
